Pre-matric Scholarship:

• The candidate must be a West Bengal resident.
• The applicant must be enrolled in a school or institution that is approved by a board, council, university or other educational organisation of the state or central government.
• The candidate must have received at least 50% on the prior final test or an equal grade.
• The family’s annual income shouldn’t be more than 2 lakh rupees.
• The pre-matric and post-matric scholarships will not be available to students attending colleges outside of West Bengal.

Post-matric Scholarship

• The candidate must reside in West Bengal.
• An applicant must be enrolled in a school or institution that has been approved by a state or central educational board, council or university.
• The candidate must have received at least 50% on the prior final test or an equal grade.
• Family income shouldn’t be higher than Rs. 2 lakh per year.
• Pre-matric and post-matric students who attend institutions outside of West Bengal are not eligible for these scholarships.

Merit Cum-Means Scholarships

• The candidate must reside in West Bengal.
• The candidate must have been accepted into a technical or professional programme.
• A candidate must have received at least a 50% on their most recent Higher Secondary/Graduation test.
• The student’s family’s annual income cannot exceed Rs.2.5 lakh.
• The West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation may from time to time notify students who are West Bengal residents but are enrolled in designated institutions outside of West Bengal that they are eligible to apply.
