Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria while applying for the vacancy-

  • The candidates must be-
    • A citizen of India
    • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
    • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with an intention to permanently settle here.
    • An Indian origin person migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Srilanka or East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia and Zaire or from Vietnam.

Educational Qualification

The applicant must follow the following educational qualification while applying for the recruitment-


  • PG degree in Economics or Business Economics or Econometrics or Applied Economics from a university recognized by the state legislature in India or equivalent.


  • Bachelor’s degree in applied statistics or mathematics or statistics as one of the subjects.
  • Master’s degree in applied statistics or mathematics or statistics from a recognized university can also apply.

Age Limit

The applicant must follow the following age limit while applying for the recruitment-

  • The applicant must be above the age of 21 years.
  • The applicant must be below the age of 30 years as on 1st August 2022.

Application Fee

The applicants will have to submit the following application fees-

  • Male candidates of general, OBC, and EWS categories – RS. 200/-
  • Female candidates/ SC/ ST/ persons with benchmark disability- NIL (Exempted from application fees)

  • General English- In this section, candidates are required to write essays in the English language, there will also questions to check the candidate’s comprehension power.

  • General Economics – I: Part – A: Theory of Consumer’s Demand, Theory of production, Theory of Value, Theory of Distribution, Welfare economics. Part – B: Quantitative methods in Economics – Mathematical Methods in Economics, Statistical and Econometric Methods.
  • General Economics – II: Economic thought, Concept of National Income and Social Accounting, Theory of employment, Output, Inflation, Money and Finance, Financial and Capital Market, Economic Growth and Development, International Economics, Balance of Payments, Global Institutions.
  • General Economics – III: Public Finance, Environmental Economics, Industrial Economics, State, Market and Planning
  • Indian Economics: History of development and planning, Money and Banking, Inflation, Federal Finance, Budgeting and Fiscal Policy, Poverty, Unemployment and Human Development, Foreign Trade, Industry: Strategy of industrial development, Labour, Agriculture and Rural Development Strategies, India’s experience with Urbanisation and Migration
  • Statistics-I (Objective Type): Probability, Numerical Analysis, Computer application and Data Processing, Statistical Methods.
